Twifo Praso (C/R), July 9, GNA - Cosmos Sam, a 14-year-old Form Two junior secondary school student of Twifo Praso, who allegedly defiled a 9-year-old primary six pupil in a palm plantation, was on Friday granted 10 million cedis bail by the Praso District Juvenile Court. His plea was not taken and would reappear on August 11.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector, George Okine told the court presided over by Mr Joseph Blay, that on June 27, this year, Sam enticed the victim with 2,000 cedis after school and lured her into a nearby palm plantation, and sexually abused her.
He said after the act, the victim bled profusely and reported her ordeal to her parents, who took her to the Central Regional Hospital for treatment.
