Ho, Dec 07, GNA - A 64-year-old farm assistant who took his employer's eight-year-old daughter to the bush with the intention of defiling her was on Tuesday remanded by a Ho High court. Police Prosecutor Inspector Emmanuel Okudzeto told the court that shouts by a curious onlooker saved the little girl and sent the accused fleeing until he was arrested after five months.

Foli, who pleaded not guilty, would be brought before the court again on December 19.

Mr Okudzeto said on July 08 Foli, who works for the victim's father at Abutia-Kloe in the Ho District, closed from the farm, came home ahead of his master and persuaded the little girl to lead him into a nearby bush where he could attend to nature's call.

Mr Okudzeto said suspicious about the intentions of Foli, the onlooker followed Foli and saw him undress the little girl. He undressed her, spread his shirt on the ground and laid the girl on it. As Foli attempted to lie on the girl the onlooker shouted and Foli and ran away.
