Seven persons have been left with various degrees of injuries following violent clashes between two youth groups within the Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region, MyNewsGh.com reports.
The injured persons currently on admission at the Wa Regional Hospital are members of groups who themselves Ztown and Jamaican youth.
According to MyNewsGh.com the two rival groups engaged in the cutlass fight on Friday night.
Deputy Upper West Regional Police Commander, ACP Peter A. Ndekugri who confirmed the bloody skirmishes has vowed to go after the suspects who inflicted multiple cutlass wounds on each other over what is believed to have political undertones.
Sources reveal to MyNewsGh.com that it all started on Friday, November 2, 2018 around 8pm when Malik Ahmed popularly known as (abinchi) and Mohammed Abdul belonging to the Jamaican group were assaulted by the other party at Zongo Lane.
Word got to their group that their members were under attack and they rushed to the scene well-armed for a reprisal attack resulting in the injuries as some were reported to have sustained deep cutlass wounds.
