Cape Coast, Feb. 24, GNA - A 25-year-old apprentice carpenter, Robert Ntsi, was on Friday remanded in prison custody by a Cape Coast Circuit court for allegedly defiling a 14-year-old JSS three student at Twifo Praso.

Ntsi who pleaded guilty was remanded to reappear on March 1 to enable the prosecution present a medical report on the victim. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Augustine Amonoo told the court presided over by Mr Justice Mustapha Logoh, that Ntsi lived at Praso Saw-mills, a suburb of Twifo Praso, while the victim lived at Twifo Praso.

He said sometime in November last year, Ntsi proposed love to the victim, and had since then been visiting the house where the victim lived with her parents, under the pretext of visiting a friend. Police Chief Inspector Amonoo, said on February 14, victim's mother travelled to Accra and Ntsi took advantage of her absence, lured the victim into a corridor in the house, defiled her and warned her not to inform anyone about it.

He said the victim's younger brother got wind of what Ntsi had done and informed their mother a week later on Tuesday February 21. The prosecutor said when the victim was interrogated by her mother she admitted that Ntsi had defiled her and a report was made to the police who arrested Ntsi after investigations.
