Armed masked men attack house hold

Agona-Swedru, (C/R), Feb 2, GNA- Five masked-armed robbers on Tuesday night invaded the house of a 27-year old dentist and robbed him of five million cedis, two mobile phones, a VCD Machine and Radio set. Mr. Kobina Egyaful, the victim before the robbery was stabbed at the head and shot him at a close range in the stomach, which gushed out the intestines from the stomach.

Mrs Margaret Ansah, the landlady told the Ghana News Agency that about 0100 hours, they head screaming and shouting on the compound of the house.

She said that the noise was so much to the extent that they were compelled to come out from their rooms only to realize that there were five masked suspected armed robbers, one of them using a pinch bar to force the door of the victim open.

Mrs Ansah further explained that, while he was forcing the door open, others were issuing warnings to the tenants not to come out or lose their lives.

She said that the girlfriend of the victim had her eye and the mouth tied by the robbers.

According to Mrs Ansah, the robbers later took to their heels, and they reported the incident to the Police. The victim whose condition was critical was rushed to the Korle Teaching Hospital in Accra where he has been admitted. The Swedru Police has started investigations into the incident. Feb. 02 06
