A renowned Magician, ‘Professor’ Diago and his wife, Mrs Ama Diago, have appealed to the newly appointed Inspector General Of Police (IGP) to ensure that six armed robbers who attacked them at Diago Village, near Mankong-Junction are arrested.

According to them, two out of the six robbers were his biological sons.

Narrating their ordeal at a news conference at Agona Swedru, Mrs Diago said two suspects were arrested by Mankrong-Junction Police and have since been granted bail and are living as free persons.

She said four of them are yet to be arrested.

According Mrs Diago the robbers attacked them on November 4, at 1900 hours at gun point and other dangerous weapons and made away with 4,500 Ghana cedis and gold dust.

She said the robbers after firing three warning shots inflicted several cutlasses wounds on her body but managed to flee into a nearby bush.

Mrs Diago said when she returned to the house after some hours, she saw the husband whom the robbers thought has died unconscious.

She said with the assistance of the Aid at the Village, they sent him to Agona Swedru after reporting the incidence to the Mankrong-Junction Police Station.

According to Mrs Diago, she was also admitted at Agona Swedru Municipal Hospital for days.

She said Professor Diago was later rushed to Akwatia Saint Dominic Hospital where he was responding to treatment.

She said the two robbers were sent to Agona Swedru Circuit Court but the Presiding judge refused to hear the case because the charge sheet was not properly prepared by the Police.

Mrs Diago therefore appealed to the IGP to intervene to let them have justice.
