Police in Somanya in the Eastern Region have arrested four persons suspected to be ring leaders of a car stealing syndicate in somanya and Ashaiman

The suspects, Abadji Tetteh, a 42 year old driver and Solomon kojo 24 were arrested sunday dawn in Somanya and Ashiaman Middle East after police got wind of their operations.

Police say the two led them to Ashiaman to arrest a third suspect, Latif Alhassan, a 22 year old scrub dealer.

Eastern Regional Police PRO, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh says, Latiff bought the stolen vehicles from Abadji and Kojo Solomon at the cost of Ghc3,000 and Ghc2, 000 respectively and resold one of them to Francis Sam, a driver at Wejia at the cost Ghc10,000.

According to him, Police apprehended Sam and retrieved one of the stolen vehicles from a spraying shop at SCC in Accra belonging to one nyamekye.

The car sprayer, Kwesi Amakye is also in police grips.

DSP Tetteh said they have began looking into the case while suspects are still in their custody.
