The Convicted self-styled Piengwa Chief, Nene Tetteh Zogli III, aka Francis Osakonor, would appear before the Judicial Committee of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs in Koforidua.

He is slated to appear on Thursday, August 28, 2014 for the continuation of his case after being convicted of contempt.

He was cited for contempt after he had flouted the orders of the Judicial Committees of Manya Krobo Traditional Council and the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs which restrained him from carrying himself as chief or performing any chiefly duties until the final determination of a matter brought before the two committees involving him and another contender of the Piengwa Stool in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality.

The case which would have come off on Thursday, August 21 was given a week’s adjournment because a panelist had been absent.

This is the second time (after the chief’s rivals won the contempt case against him) the case has been adjourned for the same reasons.

A source however assured the DAILY GUIDE that at the next sitting of the committee, all panelists would definitely be present for the matter which has dragged on for some years now to continue.
