Hohoe (V/R), Nov 12, GNA - A 35-year-old palm wine seller, Raphael Yevugah, has been jailed three years by a circuit court at Hohoe for abducting a 17 year-old Junior High School girl. Yevugah pleaded not guilty but the court found him guilty and jailed him.

Police Chief Inspector Emmanuel Kpodo, prosecuting, told the Court, presided over by Mr Samuel Sarpong-Appiah that the convict abducted the victim from the father's house in April, this year at Gbi-Bla at Hohoe and sent her to Afariwaa near Tema, where the accused made the girl to sell palm wine.

He also reportedly used her for sexual pleasures. He said a driver who is an uncle of the girl, spotted her selling palm wine at the roadside at Afariwaa and escorted her back to Hohoe. Chief Inspector Kpodo said Yevugah was arrested at Hohoe when he came after the girl.
