An alleged member of a robbery gang that attacked a trader and made away with her GH¢10,500.00, jewelleries, cellular phones and other valuables has been arrested.

Eric Fosu was on Friday put before a Kumasi Circuit Court and was remanded into prison custody.

He would re-appear on Friday, December 21.

Fosu together with four other accomplices now on the run, armed with locally made pistols, reportedly robbed the victim, Georgina Duah Senkyire, at the Paraku Estates in Kumasi.

Police Inspector Kwabena Oduro told the court presided over by Mr. Justice William Boampong that the lady is a trader and operates her business at Santasi.

She had closed from work on November 24, at about 1850 hours, and as she waited in her car for the gate to her house to be opened by the mother, Fosu and his colleagues struck.

They ordered her out of the car and to surrender of all the money she had on her. She hesitated but was forcibly pulled out.

The robbers seized her handbag containing her daily cash returns of GH¢7,200.00.

Not satisfied, they marched her to her room, where they took away additional cash of GH¢3,300.00, jewelleries, five kente cloths, wax print and two cellular phones.

The robbers later physically assaulted her, locked her up in her room and bolted.

She later made a formal report to the police and on December 11, she spotted Fosu at Santasi, raised the alarm, and he was arrested.
