Court remands hunter for killing uncle

Breman Asikuma (C/R), Dec 9, GNA - A 27-year-old hunter, Kojo Nkrumah from Breman Akroma in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District allegedly shot and killed his uncle whom he mistook for a monkey. The Asikuma Magistrate Court, presided over by Mr. Asiedu Asmah did not take his plea when he appeared on December 6, 2005 and remanded him in police custody to re-appear on January, 2006.

Breman Asikuma (C/R), Dec 9, GNA - A 27-year-old hunter, Kojo Nkrumah from Breman Akroma in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District allegedly shot and killed his uncle whom he mistook for a monkey. The Asikuma Magistrate Court, presided over by Mr. Asiedu Asmah did not take his plea when he appeared on December 6, 2005 and remanded him in police custody to re-appear on January, 2006. The fact of the case was that on November 30, while on a hunting expedition, Nkrumah allegedly shot and killed his uncle, John Koomson a 40-year-old Roman Catholic Catchiest at Akroma, thinking he was aiming at a monkey.
