Techiman (B/A) May 9 GNA- The Techiman Circuit Court, presided over by Mr Justice Erasmus Gyinae, a High Court Judge sitting as an additional Circuit Court Judge, has remanded two persons for allegedly murdering a 35 year-oldman.
Charles Oseiku, alias Agya Nyansah, 62 and Kojo Obeng, 24 who pleaded not guilty would re-appear on May 15. Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector Sampson Y. Jebuni told the court that at 2000 hours on April 21 this year, the accused persons organised a mob to assault John Anaa into a state of unconsciousness, for allegedly easing him self on a refuse dump.
The deceased who regained consciousness reported the matter to the Police and was given a medical form to attend hospital but could not raise the money to do so and collapsed and died later. Counsel for Oseiku, Mr Owusu-Agyemang pleaded with the court to grant the accused person bail, arguing that his client was diabetic and hypertensive.
Mr Justice Gyinae however said it was too early to grant the accused persons bail since the court was yet to receive a medical report that would determine what led to the death of John Anaa. Mr Agyemang was later whisked away by sympathizers to avoid the wrath of an angry mob that had besieged the court premises.
