Court remands two youth for stealing

Ejisu (Ash), Oct 9, GNA - A Magistrate Court at Ejisu on Wednesday remanded two youth in prison custody for conspiring to commit a crime and stealing.

Kwaku Charles alias Charlsey, aged 20 and Akwasi Boateng alias Kofi Yawo, 15 pleaded guilty and they will re-appear on October 12. Chief Inspector A.K. Danquah told the Court that the complainant, the Reverend Isaac Kwasi Asante-Agyei, a lecturer at the Christian Service College at Koradaso in the Kumasi Metropolis but resides at Kwamo near Ejisu on September 4 this year, left his house to transact some business.

The Prosecutor said the suspects managed to enter the bedroom of the complanant and stole a lap top computer valued at 10 million cedis. Chief Insp Danquah said they sold the equipment to one Nana Mensah at Ejisu at 500, 000 cedis and received part payment of 250,000 cedis. He said when the Nana Mensah started operating the computer, he saw the picture of Rev Asante-Agyei whom he knew very well. Nana Mensah sent the computer to Rev Asante-Agyei and they went together to the Ejisu police station to report the case.
