Dr. Donkor petitions IGP over highway robberies

The Former Power Minister in the erstwhile Mahama administration Dr. Kwabena Donkor has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) David Appeatu-Asante over rising incidents of highway robberies on the Kumasi-Yeji stretch.

The Pru East MP laments the development is affecting trading activities in his constituency.

Speaking to GhOne News’ Ibrahim Alhassan, Dr. Donkor disclosed the police in the area are ill equipped adding he personally supports their operations from his pocket.

The MP disclosed his intention of meeting the IGP later this week after having similar meetings with the National Security Minister Kan Dapaah.
