Agona Swedru, April 30, GNA - An Agona Swedru Circuit Court has remanded Kobina Baah, a drinking bar operator at Agona Duakwa, into prison custody for defiling a 13 year-old house-girl. Baah, 35, pleaded not guilty and would re-appear on May 18 2010. Prosecuting, Chief Inspector H. N. Coffie, told the court presided over by Mr Nathaniel K. Osam that on April 6, 2010, the accused went to "All Nations Store" at Duakwa where the victim and a woman, whose name is being withheld for security reasons, were in-charge.

The Prosecutor said at the store, Baah asked the innocent girl to accompany him to his bar to collect a bottle of Fanta for the woman. Chief Inspector Coffie said as soon the girl reached the bar, Baah pounced on her and started fondling her breast and later bundled her into the chamber of the bar and had sex with her twice. According to prosecution, after Baah had satisfied himself, he gave one bottle of Fanta to be sent the woman.

The Prosecution said the matter was reported to the Agona Nsaba Police but Baah went into hiding until he was arrested on April 22, 2010 on a vehicle at Agona Swedru Police barrier and arraigned before court.
