Akyem Swedru, June 06, GNA - Edem Kamassah, a 32-year-old driver who defiled his employer's daughter on three different occasions, was on Tuesday remanded by the Akyem Swedru Circuit Court to re-appear on June 12.

Kamassah, whose plea was not taken, was said to have defiled the nine-year-old girl at Akyem Soabe in the Kwaebibrem District. Prosecuting, Police Inspector Charles Quaye told the court that the complainant and the accused lived in the same house at Akyem Soabe. He said the complainant bought a vehicle and gave it to Kamassah to work with.

About two months ago Kamassah took advantage of the absence of his employer from the house and lured his daughter into his room and forcibly had sex with the girl.

He warned her not to disclose it to anyone or else she would die. Inspector Quaye said a month later, the accused managed to lure the girl into his room and again had sex with her and later drove her away.

On May 31, Kamassah called the girl into his room and had sex with her but this time the victim who felt so much pain in her abdomen reported her ordeal to her parents and was rushed to the Akyem Oda Government hospital.

The victim later revealed to her parents that Kamassah had sex with her on three different occasions. A report was made to the police and Kamassah was arrested. The prosecution said the victim is still on admission at the hospital.
