The family of a baby who was nearly stolen at the Zebilla District Hospital is insisting that the arrested suspect be handed over to them for instant justice.

The angry family stormed the premises of the Zebilla Divisional Police Station, demanding that the female suspect, whose name has yet to be released, be handed over to them to "teach her a lesson."

"This is my first child, and she wanted to destroy my life by stealing him. So, I want the police to hand her over to me so that I can destroy her too," the father of the baby told Kasapafmonline.com.

Background

The suspect, whose name is not yet known, entered the hospital under the guise of visiting a patient.

During the visit, she struck up a conversation with the mother of the baby, Felicia Dery.

After some hearty conversation, Felicia Dery, who had become comfortable with the suspect, entrusted her one-week-old baby to her care so that she could take a bath.

However, the suspect is said to have absconded with the baby. She was caught with the help of community members after a radio announcement was made, followed by a formal complaint to the police.

The Family Roars

Upon hearing that the suspect had been arrested, the family went to the police station to verify the information.

However, the visit to the police station turned sour as the father of the baby, who identified himself as Joe, claimed the police assaulted him.

His relatives were infuriated by the alleged assault on their brother, which led to heated exchanges between them and the police.

At the time Kasapafmonline.com's reporter, Musah Lansah, was leaving the police station, the family was still insisting that the suspect be released to them for instant justice.
