Breman Brakwa (C/R) Oct.16 GNA - A 30-year old farmer from Breman Brakwa who inflicted a cutlass wound on a-14 year old boy he caught making love with a girl, was on Friday granted a 20 million cedis bail with one surety by Breman Asikuma magistrate's court. The farmer Kwesi Adu pleaded not guilty and would re-appear before the court on November 18, 2005.

Police Chief Inspector, David Nkrumah Danso, prosecuting told the court, presided over by Mr. Aseadu Asmah that on October 12 this year at about 1000 hours, while returning from a nature's call, Adu heard an unusual noise in an uncompleted building which attracted him to go there.

The prosecution said when the accused person went inside the building he saw the victim Paa Willie, who stays with him in the same house, making love to an 18-year old girl. He said Adu entered his room and pulled a cutlass and inflicted a big cut on the right leg of the boy but he managed to run away with the wound until he later collapsed at a spot.

Some neighbours who heard the boy's shouting came to his aide and rushed him to the hospital where he was treated and discharged. The accused was later arrested and charged with the offence, he said.
