Farmer remanded for threat of death

Cape Coast, Dec 17, GNA - Kwamina Stephen, a 25-year-old farmer, was on Friday remanded by a circuit Court at Cape Coast for threatening to kill one Kofi Badu with a shovel at Eguafo near Elmina.

Stephen's plea was not taken, would reappear on January 17 2005. Prosecuting, Chief inspector Augustine Amonoo told the court that on June 18 Badu returned from his farm to find Stephen digging for gold behind his house.

He said Badu asked him to stop since his action could cause the building to collapse but Stephen. He told Badu to move away from the scene or else he would use his working tool to smash his head. Inspector Amonoo said Badu informed his landlord who went to the scene with but Stephen again threatened to kill the two men.
