Leicester City has announced Ghanaian winger Fatawu Issahaku as the recipient of the Men's Young Player of the Season award.
The talented 20-year-old, on loan from Sporting Lisbon, has been recognized for his exceptional skills and contributions to the team throughout the season.
Issahaku's impact was profoundly felt as he notched up an impressive tally of six goals from the wing. Among his standout performances was a wonderful hat-trick in Leicester's dominant 5-0 victory over Southampton.
However, Issahaku's influence extended beyond scoring goals; his creative flair resulted in an astonishing 13 assists throughout the season, cementing his status as one of Leicester's key playmakers.
The 20-year-old made his club debut in the Championship just three days after signing, coming on as a 54th-minute substitute in a 1-0 home loss to Hull City. He quickly established himself as a key player for the Foxes, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3-1 away win against Swansea City on October 21, 2023.
Leicester City was promoted back to the Premier League when Leeds United suffered a 4-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers on Friday evening at the Loftus Road Stadium.
