“After they have succeeded in stealing these things, they send items to one Fred Owusu, an IT specialist who removes any tracking device and cleans data off the equipments to be sold off,” he narrated.
DCOP Kofi Boakye however indicated that there were still others on the run as it was a twenty (20) member gang. He assured that they had their names and some pictures to aid an ongoing operation to get them arrested.
He was emphatic that the region is gradually witnessing a drop in violent crime as the police and other security agencies are teaming up to fight crime.
He warned that any group of persons trying to disturb the peace will be foiled and dealt with.
