Tema, Jan. 29, GNA -- A fetish priest at Baatsonaa who fabricated lies against Nii Adjei Kraku II, Tema Mantse and his son that they approached him to kill the Chief fisherman in Tema, took three million cedis and two knives but reported to his lawyer has been granted 20 million bail cedis by the Tema circuit court 'A'.

Nene Dafia Sebi II pleaded not guilty and will reappear on February 7, 2005.

Chief Inspector Sarah Aggrey Acquah, prosecuting, told the court, presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu that on January 11, 2005, accused reported to police that Tema Mantse and his son, Saeed Adjetey came to his shrine to engage him to kill the Chief Fisherman of Tema Newtown. She said the accused alleged that he charged them four million cedis, and they deposited three million cedis and two knives for the rituals. Chief Inspector Acquah said in course of police investigations, all the parties involved were paraded before the Tema Regional Crime Officer and his investigators, and accused told them that the three million cedis paid to him and the two knives were with his lawyer.

When the lawyer was contacted, he expressed surprise about the case; because that was the first time he had heard of the story.
