Five land guards arrested

Five persons suspected to be land guards have been arrested by the Aburi Police for questioning for allegedly attacking the Asekyere family at Adomrobe, near Aburi on Saturday.

The bulldozer used for the operation has been impounded.

The five with others who are on the run were said to have attacked the family with guns and other dangerous weapons to forcefully eject them from their land .

Abusuapanin Kweku Ntow of Asekyere family of Adomrobe and Gyasehene of Adomrobe, Nana Kwame Ayeh told the Ghana News Agency that the suspects used a bulldozer to construct a road to the family land to claim as their property and in the process destroyed five houses and the road from Adomrobe to Aburi .

Nana Gyasehene said the suspects while running away attacked some women on their farm, raped them and harvested their crops.
