Fraudsters dupe four persons in Sunyani

Sunyani, July 8, GNA 96Four people in Sunyani, were on Wednesday dupe= d to the tune of GHC 1,500.00 by fraudsters, who promised them lotto numbers. Those robbed were Ali Fuseini, a trader in Guinea fowl from Techiman, Madam Esi Essen, a teacher, Yaw Osei Kufour, also a trader and Nana Adjei Mintah, a student.

The fraudsters went to the Nana Bosoma Market in Sunyani and told the traders that they had received lotto numbers from their 93god", and has asked them to give the numbers to people, whom they thought would need their help= .. Mintah told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Sunyani that, the two men approached him and said their god had directed them to give him some lotto numbers to stake, but in return, he should give them 93some small amount o= f money".

He then willingly gave out some money to the two men. Mintah said by the time he realized an amount of GHC 300.00 that was i= n his pocket and the two men were nowhere to be found. Fuseini also said an amount of GHC650, being sales he had made, was taken from him, adding that, 93I didn't know what happened to me, as if it was a charm, I just took the money from my bag without realizing it", whi= lst Madam Essen and Kufour were each swindled GHC 270.00 and GHC300.00 respectively.

Other people the GNA talked to affirmed that they had suffered the sam= e fate recently, advising that the NDC congress had brought people from all walks of life to the Sunyani municipality, hence individuals ought to be careful of the people they dealt with.
