In November 2008, the convict’s wife quarreled with his brother and sister when they went to their father’s farm. When the convict’s wife returned home she informed the convict who was not happy about the incident and therefore beat up his siblings.

The deceased upon hearing that the convict beat up his siblings because his wife reprimanded the convict was infuriated and confronted him.

On 12th November 2008, the deceased herded his father’s cattle to the bush to graze when the convict followed him to the bush and stabbed him three times in the ribs resulting in his death. After his dastardly act, the convict went home and without informing any one about the incident, took his wife and they fled the village.

The convict’s father became suspicious about the disappearance of the deceased and after failing to find the deceased upon a diligent search lodged a complaint with police.

The convict was later arrested at Kalba village while he was on board a vehicle with his wife in his bid to escape. Upon his arrest, the convict admitted killing his brother and led police to a bush at the outskirts of soma village where he showed police the body of the deceased and same was recovered.
