Kumasi-based trader gruesomely murdered

A Kumasi-based trader identified as Agnes Adjei Nana-Ama, 38, has been gruesomely murdered by her business partners in Walewale in the West Mamprusi District of the Northern region.

The woman after being killed, had her body mutilated by her assailants and buried at an undisclosed location in the area.

Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) ASP Ebenezer Tetteh told ultimate1069.com that Mahamadu Issahaku, 22, Alhassan Mohammed, 60, and Isahaku issifu, 45, have since been arrested and confessed to committing the crime.

He disclosed Ahmed Adjei Nana-Ama came to collect goods from the suspects who are her main suppliers in Walewale after earlier advancing them some money.

On her arrival however, Mahamadu Issahaku and Alhassan Mohammed realized she had brought in much money and lured her into the bush, where they killed her and cut the body into pieces after which she was buried.

Relations who waited for the return of the deceased in vein, followed up to Walewale where some residents claimed they saw her in the company of Mahamadu Issahaku 22, Alhassan Mohammed 60 some days earlier.

The duo admitted seeing the deceased but claimed she suddenly fell ill and was rushed to nearby village for treatment but failed to disclose the exact location of the said village raising suspicion of the relations.

The matter was reported to Walewale police who arrested the suspects and after persistent interrogation, they confessed killing the trader, cutting her body into pieces and burying her at an undisclosed location.

They led the police to the location where the decomposing body was retrieved. They would be arraigned before court for murder.
