Sekondi July 5, GNA- A district magistrate court in Sekondi on Monday remanded Yaw Abadu, a 21-year-old unemployed man, into prison custody for threatening to kill a 56-year-old trader.
The accused pleaded not guilty and will re-appear on July 25 this year. Police Sergeant Philip Obeng said the complainant, Augustina Ahorley a trader at Apremdo, adopted the accused person when he was three years old to enable his mother to continue her education.
The prosecutor said on June 27 this year, without any provocation, the Abuda attacked Ahorley with a knife and a pestle and threatened to kill her.
Sgt. Obeng said the complainant reported the incident to the sister of the accused at Tanokrom and she managed to collect the weapons from her brother.
The Prosecutor said when the accused was arrested he again at the police station threatened to kill the complainant.
