Man reported missing after meeting prospective car buyers

A young man identified as Theophilus Ashitey has been reported missing after allegedly leaving his home in Oyibi in the Greater Accra Region to meet individuals who had expressed interest in purchasing a vehicle he had advertised online.

According to details circulating on social media on Monday, April 13, 2026, Theophilus reportedly left for the meeting in the company of another individual who is widely known in the neighbourhood.

It is further alleged that the individual who acted as the middleman has also fled the area.

“A young man identified as Theophilus Ashitey has been reported missing after he allegedly went to meet prospective buyers for a vehicle he had advertised online.

“The Oyibi resident is said to have left for the meeting accompanied by another individual, who is known in the area and has since fled,” Sika Official reported on X.

Meanwhile, police have launched investigations into the incident.
