Mason sentenced to two years' imprisonment

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), May 27, GNA - The circuit court at Dormaa municipality has sentenced Solomon Kofi Yeboah, a mason apprentice, to two years imprisonment for unlawful presence on a neighbour's premises. Yeboah pleaded guilty.

Dormaa-Ahenkro (B/A), May 27, GNA - The circuit court at Dormaa municipality has sentenced Solomon Kofi Yeboah, a mason apprentice, to two years imprisonment for unlawful presence on a neighbour's premises. Yeboah pleaded guilty. Prosecuting, Chief Inspector M. K. Yeboah told the court that Mr. Noah Kusi, a businessman, returned from church at 1000 hours to find Yeboah at his premises with a crow bar. Mr. Kusi found that Yeboah had used the crow bar to cut part of the gate to enter the house to steal. He raised an alarm and with the help of some youth Yeboah was arrested and handed over to the police. Yeboah attributed his behaviour to economic hardships that he and his pregnant girlfriend faced. 27 May 08
