Lieutenant Colonel Fred Ntiri, Commanding Officer of Ist Battalion Infantry, Michel Camp, has stated that the military will not spare any criminals and will help the police catch criminals in Ashaiman and its surrounding communities.
According to him, the military will work frequently with the police this year to deal decisively with criminals to ensure that Ashaiman becomes a safe haven for business operators.
Lt Colonel Ntiri, who was the special guest at this year’s Ashaiman police West African Security Services Association (WASSA) get-together said, “If the criminals are hot and feeling jittery and scared, I want to tell them that they have not seen nothing yet because we are coming for them.”
The collaboration between the police and military helped to reduce robbery and criminal activities in Ashaiman last year.
He called on the citizenry to help make Ashaiman and its environs a peaceful place by providing information on miscreants to the police.
“If the criminals have gone for loan to increase their profitability in criminal activities then I want them to know that they have gone for the wrong loan since we are not going to spare them,” the military commanding officer indicated.
Last month a Dutch national was shot and killed by armed robbers in the Tema area in broad daylight.
