NPP executive in car snatching

Apart from politics as pastime, the Central Regional Deputy Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Matthew Botwe' shady side has been car stealing.

Mr. Matthew Botwe, also known as 'Kalefonia Phones,' is currently in the grips of the Central Regional Police Command for allegedly being part of a car snatching gang.

Also vying for the district level elections, the NPP Deputy Central Regional Organizer was arrested in Cape Coast after an earlier complaint lodged at the Legon Police Station in Accra, by a victim of Mr. Matthew Botwe and his gang.

Credible information available to this paper has it that, the NPP Central Regional Deputy Organizer will have his case transferred to the Police Headquarters in Accra, from the Bakano District Police Command later this week, for more investigations to be conducted into his alleged car robbery.

As the warren of all kinds of persons, the Western Regional Police Command, late last week, arrested one Amos Kofi Brown, also an NPP Deputy Organizer of the Takoradi constituency, for allegedly duping about 40 people of various sums of money under the guise of getting them enlisted into the Ghana Police Service.

According to reports, Amos Kofi Brown, confessed to the crime when a search was conducted in his house to retrieve some of the Ghana Police appointments letters and prospectus in his possession.

He is currently in police custody, helping in further investigations into the matter.
