The Head Pastor of David Miracle Worship Center at Nyamebekyere, a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, Pastor Maxwell Amoako, alias David Ba, and his Junior Pastors were beaten to a pulp by some angry youths of the area on Friday, June 21, 2024.

Property of the church was equally vandalized by the irate youth, over what is not immediately known, according to the Obuasi Police, who are currently on the heels of the assailants.

In the account of Pastor Maxwell Amoako, alias David Ba, a group of irate youth numbering about seventy (70), all wielding cutlasses, sticks, and hammers, marched to the church premises, destroying plastic chairs and church windows without any provocation.

He lodged a complaint with the Obuasi Divisional Operation Patrol team, which was deployed to the scene, but the assailants fled before the arrival of the police. Later that day, police investigators revealed that the complainant went to the church premises and the same irate youths attacked him, stabbing his right arm and beating him up along with his junior pastors.

The Obuasi Divisional Operation Patrol team stormed the scene, but the youth had caught wind of their arrival and fled before they arrived. The injured pastor was issued medical forms to undergo treatment in view of the stab wound.
