Pentecost Pastor Robbed

Nkawie (Ash), May 25, GNA - The Nkawie circuit court has fined Thomas Nuako, 18 and Evans Pakuo, 20, both unemployed GH¢750 each for stealing a 24-inch television set and DVD deck valued GH¢550 belonging to Pastor Benjamin Gyamfi of the Nyinahin branch of the Church of Pentecost. They pleaded guilty and would serve 10 months imprisonment each if they fail to pay the fine. Police Chief Inspector Napoleon Isaac Asherow told the court that in April the pastor and members of the church left for Easter Convention in Kumasi.

They pleaded guilty and would serve 10 months imprisonment each if they fail to pay the fine. Police Chief Inspector Napoleon Isaac Asherow told the court that in April the pastor and members of the church left for Easter Convention in Kumasi. Police Chief Inspector Asherow said Pakuo, Nuako and another accomplice now at large took advantage of the pastor's absence and stole the items from his room. On arrival from Kumasi, the pastor detected the theft and reported to the police and in the course of investigations an informant hinted Nyinahin police about someone who had received the stolen items. Police Chief Inspector Asherow said upon the tip-off the two accused persons were arrested.
