Plumber jailed for defiling 15-year-old girl

Sunyani, Jan 13, GNA - A Sunyani Circuit Court on Friday sentenced a 25-year-old plumber, Isaac Dotse, to seven years in prison in hard labour for defiling a 15-year-old girl.

Dotse pleaded guilty and was convicted on his own plea. Prosecuting, Assistant Superintendent of Police David Kwaku Amoako told the court that Dotse and the victim lived on the same block at the military barracks in Sunyani.

In the evening of December 29 last year, the victim's parents saw her emerging from Dotse's room and when they questioned her she said the accused had asked her to massage him as he felt bodily pains. She told the parents that whilst massaging him the accused forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.

A report was made to the police and Dotse was arrested.
