The Police Administration has also increased the reward of 3,000.00 to 5,000.00 Ghana cedis to be given to any one who would volunteer information to the police leading to his arrest. The Upper East Regional Police Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police Bright Oduro said this on Friday at a press conference in Bolgatanga. He said Kombian's activities were not confined to the Northern Region but stretched out to the Upper East Region and in particular the Garu-Tempane District where he was responsible for several incidents of motor bike snatching at gun point. Mr Oduro said the two regions had therefore found his re-capture crucial and significant and put up a joint operation with 25 men from Accra to hunt him down. The operation would seek to cut off his links with people in Nakpanduri and the nearby villages who had been collaborating and providing information to him on the movement of the police, he added. Mr. Kombian hails from Nakpanduri and has lineage to the twin villages of Danvorga and Danugu in the Garu-Tempane District of the Upper East Region where his mother comes from. 29 Oct 10
