The police in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District have launched a manhunt for Fulani herdsmen believed to have murdered a farmer at Odumasua, a farming community.

The deceased, Nachanjah Chikpab, was killed on his farm with his own gun.

The badly mutilated lifeless body was dumped about three kilometres away from the scene of the crime by his assassins.

The deceased reportedly made a call to his brother, Moses Tange, about the attack on him by the herdsmen but help came a little too late.

By the time Tange and some other people got to the place, they could neither find Chikpad nor his assailants but saw clear signs that there had been a fierce struggle.

It took the police together with people in the community three days to locate the remains of the farmer.

Police Superintendent Isaac Obeng Dompreh, the Tease Divisional Commander, confirmed the incident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) and vowed to do everything to track down and bring to justice the offenders.
