Police search for couple in connection with death

Aflao (V/R), Dec. 18, GNA- The Aflao Police have mounted a search for one Victor, described by the Police as a notorious criminal and his wife in connection with the death of a suspected colleague at Aflao. The couple allegedly fled from their matrimonial home on 25th October this year, when one Jonas Ahiaka, 35, described by the police as notorious armed robber was allegedly lynched during a robbery operation in the Republic of Togo.

Aflao (V/R), Dec. 18, GNA- The Aflao Police have mounted a search for one Victor, described by the Police as a notorious criminal and his wife in connection with the death of a suspected colleague at Aflao. The couple allegedly fled from their matrimonial home on 25th October this year, when one Jonas Ahiaka, 35, described by the police as notorious armed robber was allegedly lynched during a robbery operation in the Republic of Togo. Victor and his wife are believed to be in hiding in the Republic of Togo. Mr. Baba Moro, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in charge of crime at Aflao, told the Ghana News Agency that the Police was informed on October 25, this year that a suspected criminal has been butchered to death at Huime and the Police subsequently went for the body. He said Atsupe Akakpa who claimed to be the wife of the deceased told the Police that Victor at about midnight the previous night invited her husband for their usual stealing expedition. Mr. Moro added that Victor fled his matrimonial home with his wife after allegedly informing Atsupe that her husband, Ahiaka was caught and killed during a robbery operation. 18 Dec.06
