Accra, Oct. 1, GNA - The Police at Dansoman in Accra have mounted a search for one Dawuda, who is alleged to have recruited a number of landguards from Nima, who have persistently harasses land developers at Asabahan, near Ngleshie-Amanfro in the Ga District. A source at the Dansoman Police Station told the Ghana News Agency in Accra that the police were in possession of two bench warrants issued by some courts in Accra for his arrest. According to the source, Police at Dansoman had also received a series of complaints from other persons with title deeds issued by the Lands Commission, who reported that Dawuda and his landguards were threatening some persons they had engaged to work on their land. The source said some of the complainants said Dawuda had sold their plots of land to other persons who were now developing the plots for themselves. They said Dawuda had also allocated portions of the land to some of his accomplices to establish permanent abode there so that they could monitor the activities of other developers and frustrate them anytime they appeared on the land, the source added.
