Police told to stop bullying suspects

Mr Jacob Ware, Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District Chief Executive (DCE) for, has appealed to police personnel to desist from bullying suspects.

“This would help forge cordial police-civilian relationship needed to fight crime in the communities as collaborative efforts are critical in checking wrongdoing in the society,” he said.

Mr Ware was speaking at the send-off party of Chief Superintendent of Police Francis Ennor, who has been transferred from the District to man the Sefwi-Wiawso Division of Ghana Police Service.

The DCE cautioned the police not to disclose the identity of informants to avoid intimidation.

Chief Superintendent Ennor, the outgoing Police District Officer, thanked the people in the District for their support during his tenure of office and appealed to them to do same for his successor, Superintendent Nana Kumi.

Superintendent Kumi, promised to work hard to maintain the good legacy left behind by his predecessor.

Nana Yaw Gyebi Ogyeahoho, Sefwi-Anhwiaso Omanhene, commended the outgoing police officer for his hard work, commitment, honesty and obedience.
