The Police at Kukuom is hunting for one Godfred Amponsah and his accomplice for robbing a farmer of GHC 609.00 at Atekyem, a village near Sankore, in the Asunafo South District of the Brong-Ahafo Region.
The robbers inflicted cutlass wounds on the farmer and raped his 17-year-old daughter, a second year Senior High School student in their room.
Chief Inspector Augustine Kingsley Oppong, the Regional Police Public Relations Officer told Journalist on Monday in Sunyani.
He said suspect Amponsah, alias Kojo Mankuji and his accomplice, armed with machetes, at about 02:30 hours on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, broke into the room of the farmer, 42-year old Seidu Ali, where his daughter was present and carried out their diabolical action.
Chief Inspector Oppong said the robbers subjected Mr Ali to severe beatings and deeply wounded him with the cutlass on his left leg, raped the daughter and vanished with the money.
He confirmed that the Police had issued medical forms to the victims to attend hospital whilst conducting the investigation into the case to arrest the suspects.
