Thirty-year-old Kwame Anane was severely beaten to pulp at Danyame a small community near Nkenkansu in the Ashanti region for allegedly raping a mentally challenged woman.
Kwame Anane according to reports was seen at around 6:00 pm Tuesday evening with his car parked where the mad woman was where he reportedly gave the mad woman food bagged in a black polythene and after she [mentally challenged] had finished eating, he [Kwame Anane] assaulted her sexually.
Some residents who monitored Kwame Anane from afar rushed to the scene, pounced on him and repeatedly assaulted him in turns until he fell unconscious. He was later sent to the hospital after attempts to resuscitate him failed.
According to Nyankonton Mu Nsem's Agyemang Tamakloe, Kwame Anane after he was revived yesterday confessed he was instructed by a spiritualist to sleep with a mad woman and bring her fluids so it is used to perform rituals to increase his wealth.
He is currently in police custody and will soon be arraigned before court.
Meanwhile, his wife in an interview with Agyemang Tamakloe said she still finds the news unbelievable because her husband could not do such a thing.
