Security Officer remanded for robbery

An Accra Circuit Court on Monday remanded one Christopher Wulleminga, a Security Officer for conspiracy to commit crime and robbery.

Christopher was said to have conspired with one Kamal Santi, now at large and robbed one Robert Sekle of his Samsung Galaxy phone worth GH¢ 700.00, a wallet containing an amount of GH¢ 120.00 and a bag worth GH¢ 60.00,

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector B. O. Yeboah said the complainant is a hotel attendant staying at Abeka, while the accused person is a Security Officer at Omega Five Security Company, Accra.

He said on September 6, at about 2120 hours, the complainant closed from work and was walking around Tom and Gel School in search of a car, when Christopher and his accomplice on a motor bike asked him to stop.

The prosecution said the complainant who saw Christopher in a black uniform and Kamal in a military uniform thought they were forcemen so he stopped.

He told the Court that Kamal got down from the motor bike and held the neck of the complainant and warned him not to talk.

They snatched his bag, searched him and took away his Samsung Galaxy phone worth GH¢ 700.00, a wallet containing an amount of GH¢ 120.00 and a bag worth GH¢ 60.00.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Yeboah said they picked the complainant on the motor bike and dropped him off at a point.

He shouted for help and both accused persons were intercepted by the police.

He said Kamal on seeing the police left the wallet with the phone on the ground and took to his heels.

Christopher was however arrested with the bag to the police station.

Upon interrogation, he told the police that Kamal is a military officer stationed at Airforce base, Accra.
