A notorious self-acclaimed spiritualist and suspected armed robber has been arrested
A notorious self-acclaimed spiritualist and suspected armed robber, Victor Biney, popularly known as Abeiku, has been arrested by the Juaboso District Police Command for allegedly leading a violent attack on miners at Sehwi Antobia in the Western North Region.
According to an adomonline.com report of November 18, 2025, Biney and a group of accomplices reportedly stormed a mining site in an attempted robbery.
Police acted swiftly on a tip-off and succeeded in arresting the suspect, who is believed to be the ringleader of the operation.

A search conducted on him led to the discovery of talismans, a firearm, AAA cartridges, knives, torchlights, and other items suspected to be used in various illegal activities.
Investigators have stated that Biney has been linked to several robbery incidents within the Juaboso enclave.
He is also standing trial at the Bibiani Circuit Court in an unrelated case, with judgment scheduled for December 9, 2025.
Community sources have alleged that Biney has been recruiting young men and equipping them with supposed ‘black powers’ believed to offer protection against guns and cutlasses during criminal operations.

Police further suspect that he and his syndicate masterminded the widely circulated daylight robbery in Juaboso, during which one person was shot dead and large sums of money were stolen from a wholesale shop.
