A male student from Adeiso Presbyterian Secondary School (name withheld) has been arrested for the alleged rape of a female student.
The suspect is currently in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations.
Reporting for Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Prince Collins Bening stated that the suspect, a Form 2 student, was apprehended following an official complaint.
The incident reportedly occurred during evening “prep” studies.
The victim was standing when the suspect approached her and began touching her inappropriately.
Despite the victim asking him to stop, the suspect allegedly pushed her down and sexually assaulted her.
Following the incident, the victim reported the matter to school management.
The school authorities subsequently filed a formal police report the next day.
A medical form was issued to the victim, and a follow-up examination at the hospital has since confirmed that sexual abuse took place.
The suspect’s parents reportedly visited the school in an attempt to appeal to the victim’s family to drop the case.
However, the victim’s family has refused the plea, firmly demanding that justice be served through the legal system.
