The Brong-Ahafo Regional Police Command has arrested Sherrif Adams alias Alhaji Fresh, an alleged armed robber and an accomplice in the attack on the sales officer of Thonke Limited.

The robbers took away about Ghc50,000 from the victim.

Other accomplices Musa Amadu alias Obroni and Nurideen Karim alias Obour, a butcher and resident of Sunyani Zongo have already been arrested and remanded into prison custody by the court.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Christopher Tawiah, the Brong- Ahafo Regional Police Public Relations Officer told Ghana News Agency (GNA) that in the evening of June 13, the victim and his driver Eric Ata were returning from Sampa on their routine mobile sales.

He said, as soon as the victim removed his bag containing the money and other belongings from the car, he was surrounded by the suspects and one Ababa now at large.

ASP Tawiah said, they hit the victim’s head with a metal and took away the bag containing the money. Police retrieved Ghc23, 420 in a nearby bush during police investigations.

He said Amadu and Karim were arrested from their hide-out upon a tip-off. During interrogation, they mentioned Adams as an accomplice who took Ghc8,000 as his share, while Karim and Baba took Ghc10,000 each.

ASP Tawiah said on July 22, the victim’s bag containing the money was retrieved from Amadu’s room at Zongo Abetifi in Sunyani, and some personal belongings were retrieved from Karim.
