Teenage storekeeper jailed seven years for computer theft

Kumasi, Dec 1, GNA - An 18-year-old storekeeper was on Wednesday jailed seven years in hard labour by a Kumasi Circuit Court for stealing compute= rs and accessories valued at GH¢1,936.00 belonging to his employer. Desmond Pepprah pleaded guilty to the crime.

Justice William Boampong that the complainant, Godwin Awogah, deals in computers at Abusuakruwa in Kumasi and has engaged the convict as storekeeper.

In August, this year, the complainant detected the theft of three of his desk-top computers, tower central processing unit (CPU), eight web cameras, mouse, headphones and three lap top bags. Mr Avogah therefore made a formal report to the police and Pepprah=
