Three Sabat Motors directors face fraud charges

Accra, Feb. 17, GNA - Sabat Motors Limited and three of its Directors were on Friday dragged to an Accra Fast Track High Court to answer charges of fraud and conspiracy.

The Directors; Nelson Kofi Sena, Patrick A. Ahadzi and Henry Evans Tornyie's pleas were not taken.

When the case was called Ahadzi and Tornyie, who were said to be sick, were absent.

Ms Gertrude Aikins, Chief State Attorney and Mr Mathew Amponsah, Principal State Attorney, who represented the State, did not present the facts.

According to sources close to the Attorney General's Department the accused persons would be tried in connection with the divesting of Automotive Technical Services (ATS).

They would also have to answer charges in connection with their dealings with Ghana Commercial Bank, State Insurance Corporation as well as the Divestiture Implementation Committee. The case was adjourned to February 28.
