Marvin Kwaku Bekpo a.k.a Lion Agbo was on Tuesday put before an Accra Circuit for allegedly robbing a Serbian national of Ghc20,000 at gun point at new Weija, Accra.
The money was withdrawn to enable the complainant Milosevic Miodrag Micky, Managing Director of MISCAT, to pay his workers.
Two of his accomplices, Samiru Salifu- unemployed- and Shanunu Lamptey an auto electrician have already been remanded by the court presided over by Mr. Francis Obiri.
The three who have denied the charged of conspiracy to rob and robbery, are expected to reappear on May 21.
Prosecuting Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Patrick Morkeh told the court that the complainant on July 3, 2013 at about 1130 hours went to Ecobank, Accra Mall branch to withdraw the money.
He said on his way to his office located at new Weija, the accused persons trailed the complainant to Modex Filling Station with an unregistered motorbike and armed themselves with a foreign pistol.
As soon as the complainant alighted from his car, the accused person attacked him with a gun and began to fire indiscriminately.
DSP Morkeh said the accused persons fired seven rounds of ammunitions and ordered the complainant to surrender his money else they would kill him.
Prosecution said the accused person succeeded in snatching the complainant’s bag containing the cash and sped off.
