Bibiani (W/R), Sept. 3, GNA - The Bibiani circuit court has sentenced two friends to 20 years imprisonment for defiling two sisters in a cottage near Cholicholi in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai District. Kwaku David, 19, and Kwasi Blessing, 23, all farm labourers, are each serving 10 years for defiling the sisters aged 12 and 15 years. They pleaded guilty to the charge.

The court granted a GH¢10,000 cedis bail to the third accused, Enock Ahumbley, whose room was used by the convicts for the act. Assistant Superintendent of Police Robert Erzuah of the Bibiani police told the court that the victims were pupils of the Cholicholi Basic School.

He said on July 30 Kwaku David travelled from his cottage to Sefwi Cholicholi and saw one of the victims who was then holding money tied in a handkerchief. David forcibly took the handkerchief from the victim and asked her to come to the cottage to collect it.

He said the following day the victim asked her sister to accompany her to the cottage to collect the money and the handkerchief. On arrival the sisters met the two friends alone in the cottage and they lured them into separate rooms and forcibly had sex with them. The victims reported their ordeal to their parents and a report was made to the police.
