Two teenage sisters missing

Ho, March 15, GNA - Two sisters, Jessica and Mesiana Dadzie aged 18 and 16 respectively, both students of Ziope Junior High School, have been reported missing since last Monday. Clemence Atitsogbui, 33, herbalist and Dotse Agbeviade, a kente weaver, both of whom were living in the same compound house with the sisters and their parents were suspected to have eloped with the girls. Briefing the Ghana News Agency in Ho, Mr Romeo Dadzie, father of the girls said the night before the girls disappeared Atitsogbui and Agbeviade approached him and showed him a love letter which they alleged was written by an unknown person to the girls. Mr Dadzie said his daughters denied knowledge of the letter when questioned.

He said teachers at the school later informed the family that on that Monday the sisters reported for school but Jessica complained of headache and her sister Mesiana was asked to send her home. Mr Dadzie said Atitsogbui told his wife the previous day that he would be travelling to Kumasi while Agbeviade said he would also be travelling to Koforidua.

He said relatives of both men in those towns said they had not arrived there.
